Marisha Wallace is an American-born, London-based musical theatre star, best known for her roles in Dreamgirls, Hairspray, Waitress, and Guys and Dolls.
She has appeared on BBC’s Woman’s Hour, on the 2024 series of Celebrity Big Brother, and on the Boardroom to Box Office podcast.

Brought up on a hog farm in North Carolina, Marisha Wallace’s love for the theatre and for appearing has seen her star in some of the best loved musicals on Broadway and in the West End.
Marisha Wallace appeared in the original Broadway casts of Aladdin (2014) and Something Rotten! (2015); and initially starred as the alternative Effie White in Dreamgirls, before taking over from Amber Riley as the main actress.
Moving over the pond to the UK, she joined the original case of Waitress in 2019; starred in the London Coliseum production of Hairspray in 2021 alongside Michael Ball and Les Dennis ; played Ado Annie in Oklahoma! in 2022; before joining Guys and Dolls in 2023.
So far in 2025, she has starred in Cabaret at the Playhouse Theatre alongside Billy Porter, a role she plans to reprise when it returns to Broadway.
Her talent on the stage has seen her nominated for a range of prestigious awards, including:

– 2023 Olivier Awards for Oklahoma: Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical

Alongside her stage musical appearances, Marisha Wallace has performed at her own solo concerts, and in 2024 she made her debut in pantomime as the Sheriff of Nottingham in the London Palladium’s adaptation of Robin Hood.
Whilst best known for appearing on stage, Marisha entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2024, competing in the 23rd series.
